“I love that music is universal, yet the same song can mean so many things to different people. A song can transport the listener back to a time and place, recalling a special memory or emotion. Likewise, a souvenir may only be an object, but what makes it special are the memories and emotions attached to it. This notion inspired this song, a little waltz with a simple melody that somehow sounded familiar to me. For me and many others, songs are like souvenirs, holding memories or feelings that we’ve experienced. Every album I create is a musical journey and the songs are ‘Souvenirs’ … I hope the music takes you somewhere memorable!”
